With only a few rows left to prune and after a string of postcard perfect days, the legendarily fickle Victorian weather reaffirmed itself with this impressive storm front. Coming in from the southeast, strong winds charged with rain and hail provided a reasonably unpleasant Al Fresco experience. This wouldn’t usually deter us but not long after this photo was taken a large clap of thunder heralded our departure from the vineyard. This is mandatory protocol as vineyards are highly conductive due to the trellis system, it’s wire and not to mention the vines themselves! All part of the fun…
